This Privacy Policy explains how MyHome App LLC ("we," "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the MyHome mobile app on Android and iOS (the "App").
MyHome is operated by MyHome App LLC, a California limited liability company.

When you invite someone to your household, we store the name and phone number or email address you enter or pick for them, so the invitation can be matched to them when they sign in. On Android, the App reads your device contacts (only with your permission) to show a list to choose from; on iOS, Apple's contact picker shares only the contact you pick. Your other contacts are never uploaded. The invitation message itself is sent from your own device's text or email app.
Depending on the features you use, this may include:
Only when you turn on Share My Location in Family Location, the App sends your device's location to our servers so your household members can see it on a map. On iPhone, if you allow "Always," this can continue while the App is in the background. Sharing turns itself off after a period you choose in Settings unless you confirm you want to keep sharing. We store only your most recent location, not a history; your last shared position remains visible to your household after you stop sharing, until you share again or your account is deleted. A household member can also send you a request to share your location; you decide whether to accept.
If anyone in your household subscribes, payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your card or payment details. We receive and store a purchase identifier, the subscription's status and its renewal or expiry date, and which household it belongs to, so we can confirm with Apple or Google that the subscription is valid.
Each person gets one free trial. To enforce this, we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of each household member's sign-in phone number, email address and account ID, together with the date their free trial started. These records cannot be turned back into your phone number or email, and are kept even after your account or household is deleted, solely to prevent repeat free trials.
Some information never leaves your device unless you choose to share it: your app settings (gender, used only to show or hide the Period Tracker, reminder times, currency, and so on), the 100 Steps financial profile, and cached copies of receipt photos.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use your health, location or household content for any purpose other than providing the App to you.
Most data stays until you or a household member deletes it, or your account is deleted. Some data is deleted automatically:
| Data | Automatically deleted |
|---|---|
| Chat messages | After 30 days (messages you star are kept) |
| Chat photo attachments | About 1 hour after sending |
| Chat video and file attachments | About 15 minutes after sending |
| Server copies of HSA/FSA, return and expense receipt photos | Once every household member's device has its own copy, and at most after 30 days |
| Medication "taken" records | After 7 days |
| Period-tracking logs | 1 year after the period's start date |
| Chore earnings records | After about 7 months |
| Shared expense entries | 1 year after the expense date |
| HSA/FSA receipt records | 5 years after they were added |
| Return-list items marked returned | 30 days after being marked returned |
| Answered invitations and location requests | About 3 days after being answered |
| Subscription and free-trial records | Kept as long as needed for billing, tax and fraud-prevention purposes (hashed trial records are kept indefinitely) |
If the last member leaves a household, that household's shared data is kept, so a member who left by mistake can rejoin. You can ask us to delete it (see below).
MyHome is meant to be set up and managed by adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13. A parent or guardian may add information about a child (for example, their medications or chores) and may invite an older child to the household with the Child role, which limits what that child can see. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access is limited to members of your household by our database security rules. Chat text is additionally encrypted on your device. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the App.
